Ward + Gray is a New York City-based boutique interior design firm led by principals Christie Ward and Staver Gray. With a studio in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood, Ward + Gray work on hospitality, residential and commercial projects across the US and internationally. Valuing each project’s unique nuances, the studio crafts richly layered, collected interiors rooted in a sense of place. Specializing in completely bespoke spaces, Christie and Staver custom-design the majority of a project’s furnishings, while also embracing the timelessness of vintage and antique pieces. Each space is crafted to evoke an atmosphere of lived-in authenticity.
Christie and Staver met studying interior design at Parsons School of Design in New York City and bonded over a mutual love for antique lighting and french rattan. They’ve worked side by side ever since, first at Soho House + Co where they developed residential and commercial interiors including Dumbo House, Meatpacking House, Malibu House and Miami Beach House. Since launching Ward + Gray, Christie and Staver have completed projects including Wildflower Farms, an Auberge Collection Resort in the Catskills of NY, Pizzeria Mozza - a Nancy Silverton restaurant in London, Tigermilk Paris and St. Jardim - a wine bar in New York's West Village. Currently they're working on hospitality projects in Montauk, Australia, New Orleans, North Carolina, Philadelphia, Florida and Brooklyn.
Ward + Gray’s work has been featured by Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, Town & Country, Vogue, Town & Country, Veranda, WWD, T: The New York Times Style Magazine and The Wall Street Journal. For their design of Wildflower Farms, the firm has won multiple awards including Architectural Digest’s Great Design Awards, Veranda’s World’s Most Beautiful Hotels, two AHEAD Awards and BLT Built Design Hospitality Award.
In 2023, Ward + Gray launched their first product line, a debut rug collection.
