The Sanderling is a boutique resort located in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. We were tasked with renovating the hotel - creating a new design concept to make this hotel into an updated destination with the enchanting Outer Banks.
We designed the lobby to feel like you've just walked into a dear friend's tastefully designed coastal home. With a residential inspired interior scheme where we designed a trelliage wall treatment to dress the walls andÂ
The guestrooms were designed in two unique schemes. With the larger suites picking up on the deep blues from the ocean beyond and the second scheme pulling it's inspiration from the sea coral. Both rooms feature entirely custom furnishings and lighting throughout.
We pulled inspiration from native North Carolinian antiques to create the design for the guestrooms. We looked to what might truly be in one's home on the Outer Banks to inspire an authentic bedroom feel.
