Following an extensive renovation and restoration, The Bellevue has been reimagined 120 years after its original founding, revitalizing the landmark building.

For the design of the guestrooms, we drew inspiration from the original architectural details of the hotel with a Parisian sensibility - largely influenced by the French Art Deco Modernist Movement of the 1930s-1960s, which placed an emphasis on streamlining and simplicity while maintaining luxury.

We sought to return the guestrooms to what could have been their original splendor - adding new crown, wainscoting and ceiling trim as all original paneling details had been removed over the years. New hardwood floors replaced the wall-to-wall carpet, and full-length drapery was added in lieu of the existing shutters. The color palette in the standard guest rooms was kept to moody, rich tones, including olives, teals, and ochre.

All furniture and lighting is a bespoke design for the project, including leather-wrapped pieces, curved upholstered forms, and plaster chandeliers inspired by French design. The minibars in each room feature a handsome high-varnish wood stain on a clean form, and the plaster chandeliers were modernized with scalloped motifs and brass details.

Each room also features a custom area rug with a subtle striation and contrast border. The suites have custom designed millwork with each bed framed out around beautifully trimmed vanity and wardrobe millwork pieces to make you feel as though you’ve escape to Paris.
